Tamrah started her martial arts journey 17 years ago with American Freestyle Karate. Being a young teenager, she had no idea how much the martial arts would impact her life— through growth, community, personal development, and a sense of security in her own abilities. After meeting Joel and getting to know him over years of training, they became close and faced major life events together, including family losses and surviving ovarian cancer. With all of this overcome, it became a dream of theirs to own a school together and share the benefits that the martial arts has to offer with their beloved community.

Her passion for design has been strong for as long as she can remember, beginning at the age of six with interior design on one of her favorite computer games, The Sims. Since then, she has gained skills in graphic design and enjoys creating apparel for Fortitude, logo design, web design, and additional freelance work in her spare time. She is a proud wife and mother of two boys, ages five and four, and loves spending time with her family, friends, shopping, traveling, training, and creating.
